The short version: I use your information to help you with Medicare. I never sell it. I don't share it with other agents or marketing companies for their own marketing (without your prior express written consent). You can ask me to stop contacting you at any time.
Who this policy covers
This policy covers this website and the services of Skip Jackson, a licensed insurance agent in Georgia and the owner of Aggressive Senior Solutions. In this policy, "I," "me," and "my" mean Skip Jackson.
This policy is not a HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. If you enroll in a plan, the insurance company will give you its own privacy notice that explains how it handles your health information.
Information I collect
Information you give me
- Forms on this website. Your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, the topic you'd like help with, how you'd like to be contacted and to meet, good times to reach you, the month you turn 65 if you share it, any message you write, and whether you agreed to receive calls and texts. I also record which page you sent it from.
- Form records. When you send a form, I also store your IP address, browser and device information (user agent), the exact consent wording shown to you and its version, and the date and time, as a record of your request and any consent you gave.
- Conversations. Information you share when we talk, such as your doctors, prescriptions, pharmacy, and current coverage. This helps me compare plans for you.
- Applications. If you decide to enroll in a plan, the insurance company's application asks for information such as your date of birth, address, and Medicare number. I collect this only when you choose to apply.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, the server that hosts this site keeps basic logs. These may include your IP address, browser type, the pages you visited, and the date and time. I use these logs to keep the site secure, prevent spam, and fix problems. The forms also include hidden fields that help detect automated spam.
How I use your information
- To respond to your request and set up a time to talk
- To compare plans and answer your questions
- To help you apply for a plan, if you choose to
- To help you after you enroll, including yearly reviews, if you'd like
- To keep records that Medicare rules, insurance companies, and Georgia law require
- To keep this website secure and working
Under Medicare rules, a request to be contacted is generally valid for 12 months. After that, I won't contact you about Medicare plans based on that request unless you ask again.
What I don't do
- I never sell your information.
- I don't share your information with other agents or marketing companies for their own marketing (without your prior express written consent).
- I don't use your information for advertising on other websites.
When your information is shared
- Insurance companies. If you ask me to check your eligibility or help you apply for a plan, I share the needed information with that insurance company. The company shares enrollment information with Medicare.
- Empower Brokerage. [Confirm with Empower Brokerage: "Empower Brokerage, the agency I contract through, may access records about you only for contracting, licensing, and compliance oversight. Empower does not use your information to market to you or pass it to other agents."]
- Service providers. Companies that help me run my business, such as website hosting, customer relationship management (CRM) and database hosting, phone and call recording, email, and text messaging services. They may use your information only to provide those services to me.
- Legal reasons. When required by law, or to respond to a regulator such as the Georgia Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, or an insurance company's compliance review.
Call recording
Calls and video meetings about Medicare Advantage and Part D plans are recorded, as Medicare requires. This includes sales and enrollment calls. I'll let you know at the start of a call or meeting that it's being recorded. Recordings are kept for as long as Medicare rules require, as described below.
Text messages
I send text messages only if you agree to receive them in writing. If you agree, I may call and text you at the number you gave about Medicare plans, including with an autodialer or an artificial or prerecorded voice. Agreeing is never required to buy anything. You can reply STOP at any time to stop texts, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. See the text message terms for details.
Cookies and third-party services
- This website does not set tracking or advertising cookies, and does not use analytics tools that track you across websites.
- The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests the fonts, Google receives your IP address and basic browser information. See Google's privacy policy.
- The private system I use to manage requests sets one strictly necessary session cookie when staff sign in. It's used only by staff, not by website visitors.
How long I keep information
Records about Medicare plan enrollments are kept for at least 10 years, and recordings of sales calls for at least 6 years, as Medicare rules require. Scope of Appointment records and other Medicare-related records are kept for as long as Medicare rules, insurance company contracts, and the law require.
If a request doesn't lead to enrollment, I keep it only as long as needed to help you and meet my record-keeping duties, then delete it.
If you RSVP for an event without asking me to contact you, I delete your contact details about 90 days after the event.
How I protect information
I use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, such as encrypted connections and limited access to records. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send your Medicare number, Social Security number, or health details through the website form, email, or text.
Children
This website is meant for adults. I don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your choices
- Stop contact at any time. Call or email me, or reply STOP to a text. If you ask me not to call, I'll add your number to my do-not-call list.
- See or correct your information. Ask me what information I have about you, and I'll correct anything that's wrong.
- Ask me to delete your information. I'll delete it, except for records I'm required to keep by Medicare rules, insurance company contracts, or law.
To make a request, use the contact information below. I may need to confirm who you are first.
Georgia insurance information notice
This website and my services are meant for people in Georgia. Georgia's insurance information privacy law (O.C.G.A. Title 33, Chapter 39) gives you certain rights. In plain English:
- What I collect. Contact details, information about your coverage needs (such as your doctors, prescriptions, and current coverage), and, if you apply, the information the insurance company's application asks for.
- Where it comes from. Mostly from you. It may also come from insurance companies, Medicare, or, with your permission, a family member or representative helping you.
- Sharing without your authorization. As the law allows, I may share information without asking you first in limited cases, such as with an insurance company to handle your application or coverage, with insurance regulators, for audits and compliance reviews, or when the law or a court requires it.
- Seeing and correcting your information. You can ask in writing to see the information I have about you, and ask me to correct or amend anything you believe is wrong. I'll respond within the time Georgia law allows.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I'll change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is important, I'll make it clear on this page.
